"1787" George Clinton - Excelsior Copper Facsimile by J.A. Bolen (ca. 1869). Musante JAB-37, Kenney 8, W-14390. R-6. NGC MS 64 BN. Bolen executed the dies for this type in 1869. The dies were then reported to have been cancelled and given to the Boston Numismatic Society. Just 40 pieces were made in copper, 5 in brass and 2 or 3 in silver.
