Ireland. Saorstát Éireann. General Service Medal, 1917-1921. Awarded to those who took part in the struggle for Irish independence between the 1916 Easter Uprising and the establishment of the Irish Free State in 1921. On ribbon, reverse appears to have some adhesive residue and a scuff. Extremely Fine. Framed with a B&W photo of a uniformed man, possibly the medal's recipient, ink noted "Harry August 1896". Attractive wood frame, 16 x 19".
