von Kluck, Alexander Heinrich Rudolph (1846-1934). WWI German general, commanded the First Army, pushed his forces to within 13 miles of Paris in 1914, but was pulled away by an overly cautious Bülow; wounded in 1915 receiving the Order Pour le Mérite. Autographed Postcard. B&W postcard, dated May 1934, just 5 months before his death, of v. Kluck right. He pens a five-line message in black ink below and signs at end "v. Kluck". Includes a newspaper death notice clipping. Very Good. Matted in a 16 ¼ x 19: frame with floral silver borders.
