NGC AU58 | Anne (1702-1714), Post-Union, Half-Guinea, 1713 over 1, diademed and draped bust left, stop after DEI, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 4.17g [64.4grns], 6h (Ellerby - [cf. 81]; Baldwin 108, 8 November 2022, lot 110 same dies; MCE 234; EGC 493 [R]; Spink 3575), some friction and rub in otherwise lustrous and subtly toned fields, a markedly wholesome example on account of peripheral milling sharpness and general striking uniformity, a most pleasingly good very fine, the overdate beautifully clear, rarer than accounted for in the standard references and seldom encountered at public auction, in NGC holder, graded AU58
