PCGS MS62 | China, Republic, 'Birth of Republic Commemorative' Dollar, Undated (1912), Nanking, 'Low Stars' Type, uniformed bust left of Sun Yat-sen, rev. Chinese characters within sprays, legend with low five-pointed stars, edge milled, 26.28g*, 12h (L&M 42; KM Y319), a scattering of light bagmarks across the portrait, nevertheless with speckled ochre toning across fields with a handsome cartwheel lustre, practically as struck, ever popular and the scarcer variety of this type, in PCGS holder, graded MS62 (Cert. #46033262)
