Henri IV (1553-1610), King of France 1589. Oval plaquette. Lead (lightly silvered), 50 x 57.5mm. H.IIII.ROY.D.FRAN.ET.D.NAVAR, Laureate, armored bust right. Considering the composition, this piece may have been cast from a mother of pearl cameo such as the one in the Hermitage. Possibly unique and unpublished. Extremely Fine.
