Hercules Strangling the Nemean Lion. Cast Roundel. Uniface. Bronze, 52mm. Hercules left, strangling the Nemean lion, tree and bowcase behind. Designs copied from Moderno plaquette of the same subject. This is a reduction of a model originally based on a rectangular planchet, the boundary lines of which can still be seen in parts at the peripheries of the top edge.
