Engraved on the lid: "Meinen lieben Freunde Otto Bardach zu Erinnerung Luck [Lutsk], Russland August 1915 Oberlt. F. Schmidt", scrollwork, flowers above. Kokoshnik "(head right)84" and maker's Cyrillic initials "BDN". Light scuff to plain back.
