Tibet. Szechuan-Tibet Trade Issue. Rupee, nd (1939-1942). Kangding. Large portrait of the Emperor Kuang-hsu with collar left, only one row of pearls on chin (usually it is one and a half), derived from British Indian Rupees of Victoria, rev. Vertical rosette at center, Chinese legend: si chuan sheng zao ("made in Szechuan"), branches and flowers around emulating British Indian Rupee. Y.3.3. Obverse hairlines. Evidence of early die erosion. Toned. EF-AU.
