The Robert P Ball Cabinet of Ancient Coins | Sicily, Syracuse, Demenoid Tyranny, temp. Hieron I, AR Tetradrachm, c. 480/78-475 BC, Charioteer on slow quadriga holding reins in both hands right, Nike flying above right crowning horses, single exergual line below rev. diademed head of Arethusa right, long hair looped back into a pearl diadem [krobylos], SYRAKOSIO-N before, four dolphins swimming clockwise around, 3h (Boehringer 254, dies V115/R173; SNG ANS, 87; HGC 1307) toned and lustrous with slight porosity but otherwise a very fine example of an unusual die combination
