The Robert P Ball Cabinet of Ancient Coins | Sicily, Katana, AR Tetradrachm, c. 415/13-403/2 BC, Charioteer driving fast quadriga to left, holding goad in his right hand and reins in both, Nike flying right above, crowning the charioteer with a wreath held in her extended right hand and the horses with a wreath held in her left, triple exergual line below, rev. KATANAION head of Apollo wearing tainia left, with hair short not flowing at the back of head, crayfish behind, 3h (Kraay & Hirmer 40 same obverse die; AMB 336 same obverse die; Buceti - [cf. 53]; Mirone 57 same dies), flatness to high points, otherwise lightly toned and well-centred, a really good fine, extremely rare
