Rawlins, laureate and armoured bust left, framed within floral and corded border, rev. draped bust left, framed within floral and corded border, 7.14g, 33 x 28mm (MI I 355/218; Num. Chron. XIII Pl. 1, No. 9), smoothed at suspension point and subtle historic tooling in fields, otherwise a truly stunning example of this popular dual issue, staggeringly bold and sumptuously toned with much red wax from the Murdoch plate illustration in recesses, a wondrous example with a presitigious pedigree
