Charles II (1660-1685), Second Hammered Issue, Threepence, Undated, crowned and cuirassed bust with falling lace collar left, value behind, rev. square-topped shield, plain edge, 1.61g, 6h (Spink 3385), tiny planchet clip to edge at 12 o'clock, otherwise a delightful example of this notoriously 'soft issue', beautifully struck up and sumptuously toned with electric-blue contrasts in original fields, extremely fine, seldom encountered this good
