T over E in AT, crowned cruciform shields, roses and plumes in angles, six strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 5.95g, 6h (ESC 1194; Bull 1704; Spink 3698), faint scratch in field before bust, otherwise toned, a bolder fine, scarce; another, 'Roses' Shilling, 1739, similar, rev., roses in angles, seven strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 5.99g, 5h (ESC 1201; Bull 1713; Spink 3701), red deposits to reverse where illustrated in antiquity, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous, very fine (2)
