Centered at Kashgar, the breakaway would-be Islamic Republic of Uighuristan (which would also be known as the Republic of Eastern Turkestan) was founded November 1933 and headed by the noted Uighur independence movement leader Khoja Nayiz Haji. A Tungan offensive and direct Soviet intervention led to the defeat of the republic in June 1934. Host coin with some porosity in peripheries. Crude About Extremely Fine.
