Following the path of his childhood friend An Lushan, General Shi Ssu-ming (Shun Tian) rebelled against the Tang Dynasty. He later killed An Lushan's son An Qingsu and made himself emperor of the Yan state Lushan created. Shun Tian was killed by subordinates of his son Shi Chaoyi, who he treated foully, in the spring of 761. Earthen hues.
