Great Britain. George IV. Coronation Medal, 1821. Bronze, 54mm. By Thomaston & Jones. Laureate and draped bust left, border of roses, thistles and shamrocks, rev. The king enthroned facing being crowned by Britannia, Hibernia and Scotia. BHM 1091, Eimer 1143. It is believed that William Wyon engraved this medal, but left it unsigned after being dissatisfied with the result. In period blue clamshell case. Orange highlights. Uncirculated.
