(g) NGC MS63+ | George III (1760-1820), 'Garter' Half-Guinea, 1813, seventh laureate head, edge obliquely milled, 11h (Selig 1065-66; Stratos 50; EGC 859; MCE 448; Spink 3737), a notoriously 'soft' issue, with highly superficial marks in otherwise playfully lustrous fields, the devices boldly struck, a discerner's handsome cabinet piece thus, a pleasing extremely fine, and a fine complement to the ever-popular 'Military Guinea' of this date, in NGC holder, graded MS63+ (Cert. #4345301-002)
