Cast in 1923 to take the place of the Cathedral's Emperor's Bell , which was melted down in 1918, the Petersglocke weighs approximately 53,000 pounds, with a clapper weighing 1,500 pounds, and a diameter of 10 feet 7 inches, making it the second largest freely swinging, ringable bell in the world. Very scarce in this size. Extremely Fine.
