Roman Imperial. Vespasian (69-79). AR Denarius. "O" mint (Ephesus?). 2.7 gms. Laureate head right, rev. Domitian's Pegasus standing right, COS VII. RIC 1473 (R), BMC 482, RSC 114a, RPC 1451. This infamous Eastern mint copied contemporary types of Rome and often mismatched obverse and reverse types as done here. Rare. Toned over shallow patch of exfoliation left reverse field. Good Very Fine.
