Roman Provincial. Gordian III with Abgar X Phraates (238-244). AE 32 of Edessa in Mesopotamia. 20.7 gms. Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. Abgar standing left offering Victory (not struck up) to Gordian seated right on sella set on raised dais. SNG Copenhagen 223, BMC 139. Some flatness of strike at centers, and flan flaw upper right obverse periphery. Fine.
