(x) France, Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968), Duchamp Medal, 'Bouche Evier' ('Sink Stopper'), in sterling silver, 60mm., much as struck, an immensely popular 'modern' art medal

Issued for the International Collectors Society of New York, from which 60 examples in bronze, 30 examples in stainless steel, and 70 examples in sterling silver, as well as 12 artist’s proofs in each metal were distributed. Following his death, Duchamp’s widow, permitted the release of a further 100 of each metal in 1981–82.
