James II (1685-1688), Crown, 1686 SECVNDO, first laureate and draped bust left, no stops on obverse, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, angles plain, edge lettered, 29.15g, 6h (Spink 3406; ESC 741 [77] ~ R2; Pywell-Phillips 116; Dr Erik Miller 26), rich cabinet tone accentuated by brilliance in recesses a handsomely good very fine / about extremely fine, very rare, especially in this condition, in NGC 'Francis' holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #5878642-006)
