POSVI D | EV AD. | IVTOR * | MEVM, long cross, trio of pellets in angles, CIVI | TAS * | CORC | ACIE, O over A in CORC, 2.62g, 2h (Simon [1810] -; Lindsay [1839] -; DF -; S -), a field find with scuffing to face, otherwise dark patination, good very fine, from previously unrecorded dies, and one of only three coins identified for Cork, of the highest rarity and greatest significance to Anglo-Irish numismatics thus
