Pair of Chinese Silver Pillboxes. Late 19th-early 20th Century. Round, 42mm diameter. 60.2 gms. Twist off top, Chinese characters engraved inside lid. Silver scale chain linked by two rings and S hook secures cap and bottom; Compartmented box, 45 x 59mm. 57.2 gms. Figure in floriated field, decorative border, symbols in circular frames around. Small door opens at front, with lid turning up and in to create two chambers - storage and dispensing. Maker or hallmark character on bottom. (2)
