Imperial Russian Silver Cup and Saucer Set. St. Petersburg 1896. Assay master: Aleksandr Timofevich Shevyakov. Tendril/leaf vein pattern. Handled Cup. 2 7/8" high. 3.66 OZ. Hand-painted scene of two men at table drinking. Color loss at margins. Saucer. 5 ¼". 4 ¼ OZ. Red japanned bottom side. Scuffs to the japanning, some tarnishing to bowl. Both hallmarked on bottom "84 / A*? / 1896", maker's initials "TH" and small goose.
