Gold-lettered title on maroon-brown hard cover. Renowned orator Robert C. Winthrop, philanthropist, Senator and Representative - Massachusetts, was a descendant of John Winthrop (1588-1644). Gift inscription "Presented Dec. 24th 1885 by Hon. Milo White" on front free endpaper. Bumped corners, some wear at head and foot of spine. A Good book.
