Charles Lennox, 3rd Duke of Richmond (British Army Officer & Politician) (1725-1806) - autograph letter signed, approx 12.5" x 8.75 bifolium, a three-page letter marked "Private", dated Whitehall March 31 1792, to an unknown recipient, writing with regards to a Captain Reynolds, who has "a number of very valuable plans and papers, which were left to him by Major General Roy (of whom I understand he is a natural son) and which would be a valuable acquisition for Government...", further noting that Reynolds was to "give me a list of the Plans and Papers he would deliver to us, which I promised him to submit to the King." Filing folds, some adhesive reinforcement along center fold, signature bold and clear of folds, an interesting letter from Richmond's time serving as Master General of the Ordnance under William Pitt the Younger.
