Roald Amundsen (Undated) – cut signature of the famed Norwegian polar explorer, signed in blue ink. In 1911, Amundsen and four others became the first to set foot on the South Pole; he disappeared in 1928 on a flight to rescue Italian explorer Umberto Nobile after his airship crashed on a return from the North Pole.
