Russia. Imperial. Badge of the 109th Volga Infantry Regiment. By Eduard, workmaster: Vladimir Dinakov. Silver gilt and white and red enamels. Crowned Nicholas II cipher on red field at center of crowned white enameled cross, Paul I cipher above, 1797 1897 across, Cyrillic legend below -- "19th Yegorsky 109 Volzhsky R." Maker's initials "B.?." (and again on nut) and kokoshnik "(head)84" on top back arm; maker's name ??YAP? and kokoshnik marks on screwplate. Lovely workmanship. Choice Extremely Fine.
