13th London Regiment (Kensington) Dress Uniform of Colonel H.H. Campbell, OBE, DSO. 1902 Pattern. Gray cloth with red facings tunic, twisted shoulder cords each with two embroidered rank insignia, crown insignia and regimental button, regimental (Princess Louise's) lapel insignia, gold and red sash with gold bullion and red tassels, gold-faced with black piping leather belt with crowned monogram buckle; grey trousers with red piping. Colonel Campbell served with the 13th London Regiment in Belgium and France, 1914-1917. One Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917 during the British attack on Arras, he personally drove two ammunition lorries that were in flames away from concentrations of British troops. He was awarded the DSO for "conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty." Light wear.
