Gentry and nobles in 18th Century attire desport themselves in a country setting, some fly kites, others dance, stroll or lounge in the grass, coaches and litters bring new arrivals, boats sail in the distance. Very fine craquelure. A colorful and lively work. Set in a gilt brass frame, wreath atop, 8 1/3 x 9" (including wreath), with stand.
