Georgia. Merchants Bank of Atlanta. Small lot of Printer's Proofs and Mechanicals for ABNC Checks (5), all depicting Bank President Campbell Wallace. Wallace, 1806-1895, served as President of the East Tennessee and Georgia Railroad until the Civil War, later as Superintendent Western and Alabama Railroad; and President of the Atlanta State National Bank (which became the Merchants Bank). Also included is an original photo of Wallace by C.W. Motes, Atlanta. [6]
