Navigation Master Watch, Hamilton. Circa WWII. Housed in metal canister. Sits in nest of springs and cushions to protect from vibrations on airplane. Watch back is engraved, "AN 5/40 MFR's Part No. 4992B Serial No. AF 42-12448 Contract No. W535ac-28072 Hamilton Watch Co." Separated from actual watch, most likely goes to a different watch. Also included 12-hour dial face, with 2 gears for converting Hamilton 22 jewel movement into 12-hour system. Watch on leather band. Two of the springs are not attached to watch. Light scratches on canister. Small chip on dial glass. 50mm. Case diameter: 3 ¾ in.
