United States. Sons of the Revolution Membership Badge. Gold. Engraved to: Thomas Holdup-Stevens 3rd Rear Admiral U.S.N. 830. On original riband (light fraying). Born in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, July 12, 1848, Holdup-Stevens graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1863 and entered active duty. He served in the Civil War and the Philippines Insurrection, retiring in 1905 after some 40 years of service, 22 of which sea duty. Thomas Holdup-Stevens was the third of his name to attain flag rank in the USN. He died Oct. 3, 1914. Some light hairlines outer periphery. Extremely Fine.
