The reverse here is believed to commemorate Nero's deliverance from the Pisonian Conspiracy. Among the 41 individuals accused of being part of the conspiracy, Seneca the Younger, his nephew the poet Lucan and Petronius were ordered by Nero to commit suicide. Nero praised divine intervention.
