A nice example of the larger format notes engraved by Ashby, whose engraved signature is hidden in the counterfoil, not far from the "DEATH TO COUNTERFEIT, " warning.The seal at the top, the printed text, and the handwritten signatures are all clearly executed.The Treasurer of Virginia signs on the back.
