Canada. Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Centennial, 1973 Wedgewood Bone China Vase. 10" high vase depicts a Mountie from 1874, 1898 and 1973 with the RCMP seal. This vase was a Limited Edition of 100; number 1 was presented to HM Queen Elizabeth II, number 2 to the RCMP Museum and the remaining 98 sold to the public. Per the "Ottawa Journal", May 31, 1973, the vases were sold for $1,000 each, came in a wooden and Perspex case with a certificate and leather-bound history of the RCMP. This example is marked as an "Artist Proof" and comes with no case or accoutrements. Choice.
