Another, April 1, 1823, to Messrs. Riggs, Peabody Co. Baltimore, concerning storm damage. a third letter Riggs, Peabody Co., Baltimore, 1841, mentioning the arrival of the "Strafford." Included is a carte de visite; William W. Corcoran (founded the Corcoran Gallery of Art), February 22, 1840, Washington City, ALS to A. Lardner, Second Assistant Cashier of the Bank of the United States. concerning sales of "New Orleans bonds;" Elisha Riggs (founder of the Riggs Bank which lent the U.S. Government 34 million dollars in order to finance the War of 1847), November 4, 1827, New York, to Thomson F. Mason. ALS concerning a law suit. Overall very fine, but some with small pieces out or taped splits. Must be seen. Sold as is, no returns.
