L'Amerique Septentrionale divisée en ses principaux Etats. By Jean Janvier, Paris 1762. 18 ½ x 13 ¼". Copperplate engraved, outline colored. Nice map of North America that spans Panama to the Arctic Circle and edge of Asia to Iceland. Russian discoveries in the Aleutians and the Bering Strait are depicted as is a mythic "Mer ou Baye de l'Ouest" (Western Sea). Title and impressum set on a festooned landscape by a palm tree. Fold crease. Very Good. Matted and in attractive walnut frame, missing glass.
