Napier, Robert. (1810-1890). British Field Marshal, Indian Army officer, fought in the first and the second Anglo-Sikh Wars, and the second Opium War, led expedition to Abyssinia 1867Autograph Letter Signed "Napier of Magdala". Three pages on folded Prince of Wales Hotel, Harrogate, June 3rd, no year. Napier says in part "I sent a copy with my article to Count Peckindorff who is with the Empress Frederick knowing that her patriotic mind would be gratified at the comparison between the two expeditions". With Certificate of Authenticity. Fine.
