New Zealand. Royal New Zealand Artillery Officer's 1902 Pattern Helmet. Black cloth body, brass artillery ball mount and cloth-backed chin straps secured by rosette side fittings. Brass regimental frontplate, brass support bar down back. Tan leather sweat band, red cloth interior band - both fully intact. Maker's emblem inside: Hawkes & Co., 14 Piccadilly, London. Some tiny nicks of the black cloth, otherwise a very sound and presentable helmet.
