German Fireman's Helmet. Ca. 1910. Hardened black leather body with neck guard, pale brass trim and comb, leather chinguard supported by side brass fittings with cockades. Frontplate with lion rampant left, "GOTT ZUP EHR DEM NÄCHSTEN ZUR WEHR". Tan, nine-finger, leather liner fully intact. Height from end of neckguard to top comb, approx. 6 5/8". Some very minor pecks on visor and normal wear to strap.
