Uniformed Prince of Wales bust ¾ left, title as Field Marshal, etc. below, rev. Arms of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Co.; LONDON 1896 PRESENTED BY MAJOR WOOLMER WILLIAMS. The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, North America's oldest chartered militia organization, received its charter in 1638 from the Great and General Court of Massachusetts, signed by Governor John Winthrop. Prior to the future king Edward VII, honorary membership was granted to Prince Albert, and after to George V. Dark oxidation spot left obverse field. Extremely Fine.
