Great Britain. World War I - War Medal (DM2-154118 PTE. P.B. MITCHELL. A.S.C.). Percy Byron Mitchell was born Dec. 4, 1893 in Talgarth, southern Powys, Wales. His father was the gamekeeper at the Lodge of Aberllurfe. He enlisted Dec. 5, 1915 and served as a lorry driver in East Africa and Darfur. After contracting malaria in 1916, Mitchell was invalided to England. On riband. Accompanied by a good run of copies of his birth certificate, Award, Casualty, Medical and Disability papers.
