Himalayan Kukri. Nepal, 19th-early 20th Century. Bone and wood grip with brass fittings, steel blade. Leather scabbard sheathed in silverwork - snow lion, rosette, ornate patterns - with brass central crosspieces, gold leaf, floral pattern inlay in the upper portion. Scabbard tip blunted, small loss of gold inlay at corner edge. A Very Fine and attractive kukri.
