Bolivia. El Banco de Bolivia Y Londres. 100 Bolivianos. February 1, 1909. Archival sepia photographic SPECIMEN. At left is a woman, seated and holding a scepter in her left hand; her right hand is outstretched. At lower right is a woman's head. No.00000 appears twice, near the center. An archival notation, "2/12/08," appears on the upper right corner of the card. A similar notation appears on the back. A very important SPECIMEN because Pick does not have a description of the note. While the 1 Boliviano is obtainable, the higher denominations are unpriced in Pick. In 1911 the notes were overprinted in red with the new bank name, Banco de la Nacion Boliviana, but again, the higher denominations are rare, and unpriced in Pick. Choice Uncirculated. Also included are three similar archival photographic back essays from this bank, a 1 Boliviano, and a 5 and 10 Bolivianos, all featuring a town and mountain. The first is impaired, the others are Uncirculated. The card that the 10 Bolivianos is mounted on has a bend.
