Esse Quam Videri, Self Help is Noble Schooling legend in inset circle. Hamer a major collector of tokens at the turn of the 20th Century issued these tokens to give as Christmas gifts. Bell A2 (but silver), cf. Numismatic Circular, May 1903. Extremely rare . With original ticket where it is described as "Unique" and inscribed "Arthur" - "Phyllis" having been crossed out. Superb toning in prooflike fields. Brilliant Uncirculated.
