Rare Georgia to Florida Railroad. Brunswick & Florida Rail Road Company. 1858. 7 shares. No.43. Passenger train facing left. Liberty, shield, eagle, canal barge and ships in the left end panel. Georgia state seal below. A banknote quality lithograph by Sarony & Major. Engraved by Robertson & Seibert. Cox reports only one example, No.150. chartered in 1835, the road became the Brunswick & Albany during the War Between the States, and was run by the state of Georgia, with the Governor as President of the line. VF+, with a complete, but narrow margin at the top. A rare opportunity to acquire the only example seen by this cataloger.
