Group of Issued Birmingham, East Birmingham & South Pittsburgh Gas (Pennsylvania). Late 1850's and early 1860's. Classic buildings house the gasworks. Shipwright, Justice and blacksmith, left. Gray underprint thoughout most of the certificate. Most have stubs attached at left, many with heavy cancels, but several are not bad at all. A little love and care should yield a half dozen or more decent examples, and the vignettes on all are so compelling that most of the remaining pieces should find a good home somewhere. [50+ pieces]
